Centuries ago, the New World Project subjugated many Orcs, as a result, Mermaids had to move to deeper parts of the ocean. Nicole is the youngest Mermaid Princess and her expertise at the arts of healing is well known all through Sapphire. 

    An evil organization manipulated most of Nicole's race into fighting the Humans, but Nicole realized her people were being used as an agent to start war and tried to warn them, but to no avail. Nicole saw no choice but to join the Midas Kingdom in order to use her healing powers to save her race from destruction.
